Chronic Pincrytitis

Chronic pincrititis is secondary to long standing alcohol abuse, a tabiliary tract disease, auto immune or idiopathic in nature. It can confirm the diagnosis by demonstrating fibrosis, atrophy and calcification of the gland. There's two main categories of operations for chronic pincry titis: decompress an obstructeductal system and resection of the diseased tissue.
