The Wage Is Not a Gift, but a Due
Paula: righteousness is a gift, a given via faith, as opposed to a wage. To the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift, but as his due. In other words, made righteous via faith, via faith, not because of his works. That's huge. This was, this was not mean. No wage is bad.
