Are You an Individual Contributor or a Manager?

An individual contributor is a worda phrase that i've not a super huge fan of. But really what that means is your focus on your craft, so your day is focused directly on the responsibilities of your particular role. So you can have these two different career ladders or at least split in that career ladder between contributing to use your experience base lates development, its design. And then you can also be a manager. That man is people, and therefore there's a lot more people skills involved,. like in the domain of doing the actual production of a design or a product or a service.
