The Importance of an Economic Thinking Process in Strategy Design
Many of the managed futures trading strategies obviously are trend following in nature, and they're predicated on not really knowing what's going to happen next. A lot of their risk premium comes from hedging. But I mean, there's a thinking, a longstanding thinking that goes behind this particular strategy. If you just sit down at your computer and you really have not even philosophically thought through what the strategy is, then you can wake up in some trouble.
