The Triumph of Marcus Atilius in Pompeii

At 135 metres long, at 104 metres wide, this amphitheater at Pompeii measures larger than the biggest football fields. People from all levels of Roman society would venture to the amphitheater and watch the infamous moon era, these arena sports. This amphitheater could fit some 20,000 spectators - they believed it was home to around 15,000 people at the time of the eruption.
