Algrtmic Work Method Instructions
Algritmic work method instructions range from not very harmful to very harmful. In the least harmful application we've seen, these algradams just give you the right information at the right time to the right person. More harmful applications include voice recognition systems in call centres that monitor con sations between call center operators and clients who are angry about something. All of these examples have a risk of deskilling so that people lose their ability to make own decisions on how to do the work.

Artificial intelligence and automation are increasing in role, and no industry is immune. From doctors to gig workers, advances in AI are becoming a key determinant of job quality. This week on The Sound of Economics, Giuseppe Porcaro is joined by Laura Nurski and Mia Hoffmann, to discuss how technology affects work, whether good or bad, and what should we take into consideration for the future?
