We each have a fair amount of fun money, so that it is not cramped. We use like a joint credit card for household expenses. What i spend my own money on comes out of my own fun money. I highly recommended you don't worry about him going t he he manages side of it well enough. Bank balance actually could be enough information for him to make decisions.
