Is Field Work the Answer to the Question of Why Social Learning Is Critical?

I don't dismiss the quantitative emphasis of our discipline I think there's very good reason why it has a quantitative thrust but my own comparative advantage in my own interest is in asking the questions well what what do we learn if we go beyond that. cultural context is critical then you really need to start doing field work where you can talk to people it and again I don't dismissed or or disregard the the quantitativeemphasis of our discipline  that's a great first step in my mind.
