The Knowledge Project with Shane Parrish
Machine Learning Is Different From Traditional Computer Science
In traditional computer science, somebody has to write down an algrithm that turns the input into the desired output. The difference with machine learning is that the computer doesn't have to be programmed by us any more. A single learning algrthem can learn to do all o these different things, just depending on the data that you give it. If datist learns to play chess, it learns to do diagnosis and so on. So in essence, every major machine learningAlgidom is a master with emrrits. And there are several major aritms such as 'learn-to-understand' which will help people understand complex systems better.
