'The research industry is designed for people to compete for dollars,' he says. 'It's kind of like mixing a a sweet and a savoury breakfast and a blender, and it ends up being mosh and nothing happens' He adds that many in the non-profit sector are too focused on one issue: energy finance. But they can get lost in larger conversations about issues such as climate mitigation strategies or political activism.
