The Impact of the Interest Rate Rises on Property Values
The telegraph says property values will fall 9.4% from their peak last year, hitting their lowest levels between July and September 2025. Mortgage lenders are already pumping their existing mortgage deals higher as the markets now bet the bank of England will be raising rates to 5.5%. The average rate for a two-year mortgage has jumped from 5.33% to 5.75 in just the past two weeks according to Money Facts.
