What Happens to the Difference?

The Pacific Legal Foundation is challenging a practice in 12 states plus Washington, D.C. A woman who owed $2,500 in taxes had her house foreclosed on and sold for much more than what she owed. The foundation says the government should not be able to take so much money from people as part of its tax collection process.
