The Public Renewables Act
The Public Renewables Act actually came from an idea way back when in New York City. It was at a time when, I don't know if either Lizzie or I were actually members of the Eco-Socialist Working Group. Shea had this idea, what if we undid that law? What if we unleashed the largest public power authority in the U.S.? That's expanding the amount of energy we had so we could electrify other sectors. The Green New Deal was kind of AOC's baby. She came out and she was like, I'm not a plastic Green New Deal.
