Pros and Cons of Using an Open Source Language for Trading Platforms
The pro of using a language that a brokerage trading platform provide is that it can be very easily turned into a live trading system. If you want to switch brokerage all the script that you've written before doesn't work anymore and you have to start from scratch. The problem with those brokerage languages is that they tend to be uh rather limiting they are not designed to uncomvers.
