Alster's Micro-Adventure

Alistair first gained notoriety in 2001 when he began a four-year, 46,000-mile bike ride around the world. He's also walked across India and ran 150 miles in the Sahara Desert. But even back then his grand explorations were doggeared by tiny, significant moments. The overwhelmingly difficult part of those big adventures was daring myself to say, yeah, I'm going to go do that thing. This is where the first seeds of the micro-adventure idea were planted.
