50% of all hedge funds fail because of an operational something in the operations that went wrong. Someone who's used just dedicating all their time to investing now has to take a significant percentage of their time and either build or oversee operations. The investors have no patience, especially in this day and age, of anything going wrong. And so it's incumbent on someone to make sure the operations are done properly if not best in class.
