The Role of Genetic Engineering in Preventing Heritable Diseases
The medical system oftentimes just tries to extend life without asking the question, is this particularly pleasant for the person who is having their life extended? So I'm trying to be charitable, trying to see some area possible agreement with Varg. Should we be allowing parents to modify their children's genome before fertilization? You know, to keep the population. Well, I think you're bringing up questions of secondary importance with things with heritable diseases like Huntington's disease. That's the sort of thing that we need to be looking into so that monstrosities like me with brown hair and brown eyes don't exist.
