A Small Bit of Work, but It Wasn't Terribly Hard
We had standardized the test disk that we'd play in to much of players and print hash values to the screen of various finger prints. So each timea play players were being um even the hardware players would have an up date. And so it worked pretty well for a while. The thing was was that the attackers were geting much better just writing a bunch of code for emulating something and run the the protected disk in their player, which is what we're looking for.
