The Importance of Collectivism in Existential Risk
Alida Naga: I think there's refracting between past and present is just so crucial when it comes to, as you say, thinking critically and politically about existential risk. And then finally, I want to bring us back to that question of thinking about the future - our futures are both hyper collective and strangely individual. As feminist scholars, I think this kind of sense of collectivity and solidarity, it's really important to us. But we know that our futures are collective and then we're bound to each other. So if you want to reduce existential risk, you should encourage these kinds of social bonds.
