The Importance of a Good Mix
I revisit songs that in my youth were massively important. With my new set of ears, I'm like sometimes shocked at how bad the mixes are or how incredible they were. So of like, in a way, the song always just spoke to me and hit me just as a vibe. Regardless of the technical quality of the mix, Prince is a good example. Some of those mixes were not great because he works so fast,. But the vibe was always incredible, but they were really musical. And it didn't really matter.
