Pattern: A Pattern Deck for Setting in Culture
Alyssa's job was to look through them and say, okay, what do you, how do I fit my plot into what these cards say? Yeah, which is a creating writing in Deborah on its own. So we knew that we didn't want it to just be a tarot deck with different names slapped on top of it. The suits are called threads. And so the spinning thread is the inner self. It's like the mind and spirituality. The woven thread is the outer self, its relationships and social institutions. We built the faces and the masks into that as well.
