How Directly Did You Get Your Drawings Inspired?
I'm very inspired by my performance and also my work in general has been very inspired by Japanese. There's no drama, which I saw in 1970 in Japan. And I go back to that often, the poetry of it. That really did influence me. The wonderfully rich nature of contemporary art means that there's so many ideas floating around and so many different forms of art takes. It's a wonderfully rich field and that there doesn't have to be affiliations as they were in the past, I guess.
