Part One: The Founding Father of Fake Cancer Cures
Behind the Bastards
Harry Hoxsey's Story Changed Wildly Over the Years
Harry Hoxsey claimed that his father had developed the salve on his own in 1908. The versions of the story Harry told also tended to leave out the critical fact of how his father died. Some might suggest that a cancer cure that failed to say both the cure's mother and father might not be a cancer cure.
