I Think the Man Did His Best and I Think He Was a Bit of a Bully
I was a pretty unpleasant young boy really because I found a way through this. My way of dealing with it really was to please him and so I knew what he liked. He has extraordinarily mannerisms of his father and my brother behaves now. So he was jealous. And I'm quite sure that just irritated my stepfather enormously. And I think Peter had the rough end of it. But again I don't complain I think the man did his best, it's just that he could be quite cruel verbally. When I decided not to stay in the army he didn't adapt very easily to my having a will about what I wish to do with my life. It wasn't a decision taken
