The Hard Life of a Farmer

Will's father tried his hand at farming for 18 months, then moved the family into the town of Red Cloud where he opened a real estate insurance business. He tells Will and other boys that their sister is smarter than they are; she can make a bunch of money with eggs and butter. And so this hits home for Alexandra because her friend Carl, their family is pulling up and leaving like a lot of the other families in this little region. It's been too hard. They're pulling out.
