President Trump signed an executive order this week banning transgender athletes from competing in women's sports, with the Department of Education tasked with investigating violations of the new Title IX rule. The conversation around transgender athletes in women's sports came to a head when transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, on the UPenn swimming team, was criticized for competing against female athletes. Former UPenn swimmer, and former teammate of Lia Thomas, Margot Kaczorowski joins the Rundown to discuss her experience competing with a transgender athlete and why she thinks the executive order is a step in the right direction.
