Pediatric Critical Care Nurse

For a pediatric critical care nurse, tragedies are part of the job. But there are joyful moments too when children recover. Like many of her collegues, i went into nursing because i wanted to be a therapeutic presence for others. I thought that the his alone would be enough to help me cope with the intense stress and heart ake that come from taking care of so many sick and sometimes dying patients. There was certainly a point where i didn't know what to do with that.
