Taking Kitchens Out of Sight

Long hours in the kitchen, diminish shift social networks leaving them feeling isolated and alone. These kitchens are largely hidden from view through structures that create feelings of invisibility, alienation and social detachment. The isolation creates a back drop, a stage where one can up. So there's a really strong correlation between bad behavior and isolation. It's not an excuse for misbehaviour such as bullying or aggression. Many shefts can't handle the pressure when when they are taken out of sight.
