Is Google Responsible for a Death That Results Indirectly From the Publishing of That Information?
Google and the tech companies would score a major victory here if the court eventually decides not to rein in those parts of Section 230. They have the tech world that now has this broad immunity. It allows people to post pretty much whatever they want. And companies like Google are not liable. But I think the question in this case is whether or not the tech companies, Google in this case, is responsible for a death that resulted indirectly from the publishing of that information.
