The Halo Effect

An overall impression leads us to make a specific judgment, and that's the essence of the Halo effect. I read a book by David Maester called The Practice Equation in which he says there is empirical evidence for causality. But I have not seen a study that controls for other factors, and in a reliable or credible way, is able to isolate precisely the sequence of causality that you describe. There's a good story that seems to be appealing. If you're good to your people, your people will be good to customers and things will go well.
