Deaver's Recreated Experiments - The Death of Kathleen Peterson

Dwayne Deaver said he believed that Kathleen had been hit on the back of the head at least three times and that the back of her head had also hit two wooden stairs. As Kathleen continued to bleed out, someone began cleaning the scene with water or some other liquids. He didn't say that Michael Peterson did this to hide the fact that he had blood on him, but to alter the blood stains so that somebody like doing Deaver wouldn't be able to tell whether that blood had come from like transfer or whether it had come from an impact that caused the blood to go up towards him.
