What Is Free Will?
The more influence things you're not aware of have on your decisions, the less control you have over them. Let go back to the bystanders study. Even when the person thought that four other people could hear the voice, whell, 31 %, of example, did help. And then you wonder about the other 70 or so. Could they helped? Um? And maybe so. So the am the bystander effect actually made it more difficult for them to help than would have been the case otherwise. But doesn't make it impossible, no. Maybe it's harder to make good decisions under conditions like this.
