Troy Z and Maguire: Are you familiar with the field of Darwinian psychiatry? This is basically the idea of applying the evolutionary lens to study the genesis of many of our most common mental disorders. Randy Nese is someone that I recently had a chat with who's been trying to incorporate the evolutionary lens, not just in psychiatry, but across the medical school training. How could you become a physician yet never have studied what are the selection pressures that would have led to the formation of our bodies and minds? Do you have any thoughts on that?
