The Importance of Children in Medieval Europe
The children who survived were carried with their parents into the fields that they had to be. Parents were encouraged to bathe their babies to let them play and splash in the bathwater. Gerald of Wales was talking about his brother's built sand castles and he built sand monasteries, which I think is super adorable. Peasants love their children. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They definitely love their kids.
