The Zen of Python, which has been a bit of a theme for us, or the last couple of weeks. He focuses on two of the lines for this API stuff about explicit is better than implicit. And then another one where he focuses even more is flat is better than nested. The takeaway there was when creating a library, start with a good base and then iterate from there.
