There's a mixture of like pseudo historiography legends sort of then you know retellings of semi historical events in chivalric for frames that wouldn't have made sense in the high Middle Ages. I think to the extent that fantasy sort of achieves this real artistic liftoff it has to be in this sort of combination, he says. The more purely magical fantasy gets the less interesting it is and the more purely we're just doing historical fiction  the less interesting it gets.
