The Roos of Richard Chase
Richard Chase was shot and killed by a group of sheriff's deputies in 1970. The officers were trying to break into his apartment, but he had already left for the day. They decided to make it look like they were giving up - so they hid behind two nearby apartments. After several minutes, Richard Chase walked out carrying a cardboard box. He then began running toward the street as the deputies pursued him on foot.
