Stability and stable is a little bit more than stability to bring back my favorite hobby horse. When we say stable what we're basically saying is behave more like things behave in real life it doesn't mean you make everything a physical analog or you put a 3d engine and a physics engine into your UI. It simply means that like that it feels unstable to us because it behaves in a way that we don't expect when virtually are really reaching for something. Once you sort of perturb the mind body connection the sort of hand-eye coordination of going for the thing even if it's 100% predictable it feels disconcerting, frustrating.
