Is There a Neighbourliness Within Communities?

Alster: When we're speaking about neighbors, there are two senses in which we may use that term. We may use it as a sort of geographical nearness, the people who live across the road, that sort of thing. But I think there is this deep neighborliness that can be experienced and is experienced within many sorts of communities where your life necessarily intersects with other people. It's harder to detach your life from other people if you don't have thick family ties like they do.
