Vancouver's Plan Doesn't Go Far Enough
i i wrote an oped for daily hive two weeks ago talking about how vancouver badly needs a more ambitious plan for its future. The thesis behind that is the v Vancouver plan doesn't go far enough, says kitsotter. Kitsotter: We have tried to implement some version of official community plans at least three times in the last 50 years. They've all failed because every single time, the impetus from city hall is answered to the most powerful people in the city, which is, hold up, slow down.
