Is the Dollar Depreciation Going to Continue?

Preston: I don't know if they're going to be able to continue to conduct this dollar depreciation in the face of everything that's happening in Japan. But it appeared like the spread that you had happening over there and between Japan and the rest of the treasury market was how they were able to do that. That's a great point and it's something we've certainly written about a lot recently which is big global private buyers of treasuries tend to be centered in Europe and in Japan so Japanese insurance companies pension funds etc. are taking on currency risk.
