The Gap Between Designers and Stakeholders

I think the topic of your book is really well needed, and it really struck a chord with me. It's complicated by the fact that not only do we have a hard time explaining to other people what UX is, but even if you were able to come up with a succinct response... everyone has a different answer about that. And yet those are the people who are writing our checks. Those are the people that we need to approve our stuff. If we can't help them understand what we do, why it's valuable, then we're not going to get anywhere.
