The History of the Dalai Lama
The Chinese Communist Party occupied Tibet in 1959. The Dalai Lama had to escape to India because his life was in danger for sort of like a temporary refuge. He went there with the hopes and conditions that he was going to come back to Tibet. China really played a long game, they said, we control Tibet, the water supplier,. So when you control Tibet, you can control half a billion people in Asia, their water supply.
