Mid-rise architecture had a real currency in the shape of London. Since Grenfell I think there's been a turn against that and also with the realization that leasehold isn't always a great way to buy property as put a lot of people off flats. The mansion block is a really quintessential London typology that took shape in the 1850s but it's enjoying a kind of revival now in contemporary social housing projects.
