The first cow butter was sculpted in 19 11, and it has grown to be a famous tradition at the iowa state fair. Every year they make a life size cow out of butter, a whole cow. It starts with a frame of wood, metal wire and steel mesh, ok. And then they add 600 pounds of low moisture, pure cream, iowa butter. Then layers of butter are applied until it is full sized.
