The Return to the Nineties

The one decade missing from that summary is the nineties. This return, i think, this return to the seventies involves precisely abandoning a certain way in which those books and thinkers were read in the nineties - when revolution had become unthinkable. No one really wanted it any more because everyone thought, well, that's just going to end up in the gulag. That's what always happens. And so there are things in those books and in those thinkers, that got pushed aside or down played in favour of other aspects. I never, i still don't don't know how to give a unelevated pitch for the book. But i used to come up with these epithets
