Outgoing society president Todd Shapiro has been an advocate for change in the CPA profession, but change is still very slow. Bernard: "I don't have yet for anyone to explain to me how the extra year of education makes anyone a better CPA" The AICPA is catering to its highest paying customers and smaller firms are seeing no reason to belong to the AICPA.
