The Ugly History of Cluster Munitions

cluster bombs have killed or injured an estimated 56,000 to 86,000 civilians since World War II. The United States alone has spent more than 3.4 billion dollars on demining operations in 1993 including countries where it released hundreds of millions of bomblets and passwords that continue to kill and name civilians. In the 2003 invasion of Kuwait some two dozen soldiers and Marines were killed by American sub-unitioned duds of all kinds which most likely came from Cluster Munitions.
