Adam Sobel: There is a sort of argument right to this definition of love, right? It builds up. He says, everyone desires a beautiful. So that's not a basis for distinguishing the lover from the non lover. And so then he has to get at that basis. Then he gets at this division between the acquisitions of culture and acquired opinion and then the innate desires and pleasures. The conflict between those two can lead us to do things which other people or even ourselves might disapprove of. That's what love becomes. I just wanted to point that out because it's not like we just simply stipulate the definition of love. We start with these other considerations and then build to it
