The Church and Its Characters
The church has the actual characters, Joseph Smith copied from the book of Mormon plates. And yet in these videos, they create an entirely new set of characters to look more authentically Egyptian. That tells me that the church knows full well that Joseph Smith characters are crap. I wonder if linguists and specifically Egyptologists are just a little bit offended that the Mormon church would perpetuate the idea of a language that we have no evidence having ever existed.
